When the protagonist and the pro skaters wake up they're in a dungeon type place with a large television screen. Cops arrive on the scene but are too late and the van has already driven off. The protagonist decides to investigates the mysterious van and is pulled in by a mysterious arm, causing the fans to scream and the pros to rush in and attack but are pulled in themselves.
Scores are calculated by adding the sum of the point value of each trick strung together in a combo and then multiplying by the number of tricks in the combo.įive years after the events of Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Tony Hawk and a group of pro skaters including the protagonist are skating in a skate park being cheered on by fans until a van shows up in the middle of the ramp and almost hits Tony Hawk, the protagonist, and the other pro skaters. The gameplay in Underground 3 is similar to that of previous Tony Hawk games: the player skates around in a 3D environment modeled after various cities and attempts to complete various goals. Most goals involve skating on or over various objects or performing combos.
