So basically I need to boot twice, 1st time to disable and scan for new device, then 2nd reinstall the drivers and then I got some sound, until I turn the computer off. W10 found it and installed some drivers it saw fit, great sound is back. Turn off computer at end of day, reboot next morning, no more sound.ĭecided to let W0 deal with it, uninstall all SB and Creative existing on the machine, disable the card and scanned for new devices then rebooted. Ok so lets reinstall the driver I had (latest) and reboot, great I got my sound output back. When I noticed the problem, 1st reflex was to check for new driver from Creative, none. I tried all I could think of and found around the net. Been over 20 hours spent trying to fix that (*&^*& problem. When I upgraded my Via was disabled in the Bios. I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi and on Onboard Via HD Audio card. I upgraded from W7 Pro 64 bits to W10 Pro 64 bits.
